"We have been staying at the premier mill since it opened and have loved it, but found that it had deteriorated in the past couple of years. The bar menu was unavailable and the bathroom in our room was mouldy and the fire wasn’t burning to greet us on our arrival which was one of our favourite things. This time we were very pleasantly surprised when there was a whole new bar menu available and the bathroom was slick & span. I did have to ask for the fire to be lit, and was told that it wasn’t that cold… it was minus 2 overnight. How cold does it have to be? The fire should be lit every afternoon, it is a really welcoming experience for your guests, and a wonderful place to sit with a drink and bar snacks after a busy day. Overall, the Premier Mill has raised its standards again thank goodness, but please, light the fire daily in late autumn and winter, it’s a lovely welcoming greeting for your guests."
