Heron Island Resort
It's an outdoor resort on a secluded island with abundant wildlife. I would (and have) still absolutely recommend, but i think it's good to know going into it. Discovery Parks - Tannum Sands

Parking was under cover but not secure with both doors open all the time.

Gladstone Central Plaza
Stayed for three nights with no WiFi, and the issue wasn’t fixed even after speaking to the front desk. On the last night at 1:30 am, there was an emergency evacuation announcement — it was quite scary.
