"Peaceful lake, quiet area, nice overall room. You can get there by bus, but it's coming once per hour and it doesn't run too late. The onsen had the sulphur smell (rotten egg), but it's the natural spring "flavor". Breakfast was specific japanese, though not really to our liking (no fault of the hotel)"

"The hotel has a beautiful setting and is convenient for walking to the lake. It also offers an outdoor hot spring with good water. However the food quality is average with limited options, and this could be improved."

"Excellent stay! We stayed for one night with 6 people. I should note that it is NOT a two bedroom, but there are two separate rooms. One room has 2 double beds that are basically touching, the other room is in the living room where you can roll out two double mats to sleep on the floor. The room does come with a 3L bottle/keg of beer. We had an excellent stay! "

"For a supposed 2 star rated hotel was well above that, on par with 3 star anywhere in Australia. Room was very comforable and bed was biggest I have ever slept in, could have fitted 4 people easy."

"5 minute walk from the train / bus stations, shopping and dining, groceries and coin laundry. Clean room, friendly polite staff. Included breakfast not great."
"Great space, price, and staff. Area is amazing and views are stunning. One caveat will be the beds. I think the hotel should upgrade the beds because it was not so comfortable to sleep in"

"Stayed for one night as a couple. Excellent location and room facilities; it’s right next to the National Park, making for a convenient return to the hotel before jumping into the onsen in the evening as you await a decadent dinner. Thoroughly impressed with dinner consisting of local fish, pickles, rice and beef showing off Tochigi’s local produce
Would stay again"
"What a gem of a hotel to consider if visiting Nikko. This hotel has few rooms but fantastic staff and great service. Our breakfast and dinner were included and they were excellent. The private hot spring in the hotel was nice private and relaxing experience. You are within blocks of the temple and shrine and Shinkyo bridge. The rooms have complimentary drinks and snacks and are spotless and in good condition. Upon check out they provide free transportation to the train station. Ten out of ten. "
