The Evelyn Hotel was old world class in the perfect midtown location. We were greeted by staff and treated with kindness and respect the entire stay. They worked with us to provide an early check-in, provided water, and clear communication about the amenities. The room was clean, cozy and comfortable. We loved having heated floors in the bathroom, and the ability to open windows and control the A/C. We came and went often and the doormen were always there to greet us with a smile and open the doors for us. We enjoyed a light breakfast each morning which was excellent. I think they could offer a few more choices, but the items we had were healthy and delicious. I highly recommend this hotel and definitely would stay here again.

Fabulous location and reasonably priced for a NYC hotel. However, other than the super-clean bathroom, room itself was not very appealing. Two windows and one was blocked by an A/C while the other opened into a shaft that was frequented by pigeons. If we wanted fresh air, we had to listen to birds cooing all night and a windowsill littered with feathers (there was no screen).
There is no coffeemaker in the room or any other amenities. Basically, a place to crash for the night.
