"We stayed for 3 nights. Friendly staff in the restaurant. Everything worked and the apartments are spacious and so cozy. Very baby friendly! Although a bit of noise at night from other guests. Overall great stay with a nice location. "

"Very friendly staff. Despite our very late arrival the owner of the establishment ensured me I could call him and he would assist us on the check-in. Very large, cosy and comfortable rooms. Plenty parking availability. I warmly recommend this hotel for both business travellers as tourists."

"Pension Barbara is a very cosy and clean pension right next to the paths leading up to The Brocken. The hostess was very sweet and attentive, and we had a good stay. Schierke as a town is a bit dated and quiet in the autumn, when we visited. Is was difficulty to find a place to just have a couple of drinks etc. The national park, Brocken and paths are all excellent for a short hiking-holiday. Great nature, chalenging paths (if you want it), nice restaurant on the summit."

"Da wir wohl die einzigen Gäste waren wurde das Frühstück am Tisch serviert.Leider 3Tage immer gleich.Engl.Frühstück. Die Sauna wahr sehr schön,wurde aber nur nach heftigen Protest angestellt.Der Ausblick auf die weidenden Hirsche war fantastisch."

"Séjour plus rapide que prévu étant donné que j'ai réservé une chambre et que l'hôtel était fermé. Apres appel du numéro affiché sur la porte en cas d'absence une personne est venu me proposer une chambre dans une autre résidence pas du tout en lien avec la réservation que j'avais passé. Je me suis donc rendu dans ce village pour rien. "
