Great hotel. Great value

Cornelisz is a wonderful hotel near museum district of Amsterdam. On a great shopping street and easy walking to the entire city. Great staff and a luggage storage room. Elevator in the property. Small but functional room. Would definitely stay here dgain

Disappointing personal.

Personal (male from Romania) at the reception was total not professional acceptable. With sentences as”HERE YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR EVERYTHING!!!!” This because I asked if the stil water at the room have to be payed. Also the personal at the breakfast did their job because they have to.

Four-star disappointment

While The Carpathia might have the formal credentials of a 4-star hotel, it has the service level and ambience of a simple motel. The staff was rude, breakfast was lousy and don’t get me started on the lukewarm, cramped jacuzzi which probably had worse water quality than most swamps. The room we had was simple, nothing special really. The best thing we can say about the Carpathia is that the cleaning was fine, but then again they had signs reminding us of being environmentally friendly, when they at the same time packed water glasses in plastic and had put up “sanitation” stickers… Doesn’t seem like the environment is of high priority to this hotel, otherwise they could implement several initiatives for more eco-friendly operations. Then again, the pool was really cold, so I guess they saved on the heating bill for that one.

Deffinitely not recommending or coming back

I was dissapointed about the service and hotel staff. Other than breakfast which was varied and good, there are not so many positive things to add in regards of this accommodation. Hotel is short on parking spots, some people in the staff are unprofessional and rude, room was not that clean, especially the carpet under bed where I could find a lot of “valuable” stuff, moldy bathroom and missing drain and bathtub cover, old and cheap room light fixtures and so on. In my opinion, it does not deserve its stars and accommodation is overvalued and overpriced. Price to offered service and quality is way too high. I will never come back here given the on-site experience

Estada muito boa! Spa muito bom!

Hotel muito bom e com uma área de spa que fez toda a diferença para relaxamento. Café da manhã excelente. Bom atendimento. Confortável. Só o estacionamento que estava lotado devido a época do ano mas estacionamos em frente do outro lado da rua sem problemas. Croissant e espumante no check in, para quem chega de viagem é muito bom! Gostamos muito de tudo!

Overall nice stay, nothing notably bad

The hotel is nice, clean and staff friendly. Not everyone speaks English, especially the restaurant staff but that wasn't an issue. The pool and spa area was a bit crowded but generally nice and well maintained. The breakfast buffet was big and offered many different hot and cold choices.

The rooms are spacious and clean; bathrooms are also clean and new; the spa is outstanding. The water in the hot tub, however, was only lukewarm, but the main pool is excellent, treated with salt rather than chlorine.

Poor customer experience

The location was good but the hotel staff had pretty poor customer service. We notified them that our AC wasn’t working and people were smoking outside, they said maybe someone will come or maybe not...they didn’t. The beds had no support and uncomfortable. The pool is tiny but not bad once the crowds slowed. My Moms bathroom smelled of mold but they did nothing. Oh and when we got they they charged an additional mountain rescue tax. Overall I wouldn’t stay there again.

O hotel e bom, apesar de antigo tem uma decoração interessante e combina com o lugar. Não gostei muito do atendimento na recepção. Achei os funcionários rudes e não voltaria a me hospedar lá.
