Try to arrive when it opens to avoid the long lines. I was able to enjoy and appreciate it so much more than on my previous visit due to not being in a huge crowd.

Try to arrive when it opens to avoid the long lines. I was able to enjoy and appreciate it so much more than on my previous visit due to not being in a huge crowd.
The tour guide gave us 15 minutes in the chapel to look around prior to explaining everything to us. Another must do. Don’t talk in the chapel you will get yelled at.

No photos are allowed in the Sistine Chapel.
Don’t buy tickets from vendors outside. You can save money buying them inside.
