All those steps up to the viewing platform are no joke. They're steep, slippery in the rain, and some of the railings are loose. We were there on an insanely rainy and windy day, and I felt a little unsafe at times both on the steps and atop the viewing platform. So if you're at all afraid of heights or if the stairs seem daunting, stay down on the bottom. The view is better there anyway, as you can get so close to the falls!
