“Property was a bit dated, creaky floors throughout. Poor shower in our room, shower screen inadequate resulting to wet/puddle floor afterwards. Some of the staff not helpfull, on gluten free issues. Hotel very clean. With some rooms offering a great sea view. Parking is first come first served, cannot book in advance.”

“Garragh Mhor is set in idyllic surroundings and while there we really felt a sense of peace. Jan and Darren are wonderful hosts, the breakfasts they prepared and served are superb and an added bonus were the morning chats.”

“The room was adequate no headboards on beds, room sparse, The TV should be mounted on the wall, furniture dated but clean. Bathroom good size, good shower but the shower gel looked as it had been left behind by last occupant. Disappointed with breakfast no fruit salad and when asked for poached eggs the staff could not provide (really) Overall underwhelming and would not recommend.”

“Beautiful castle hotel, inside and out. Only suggestion I have would be to put a fan in each room during the summer, as you can’t open the windows due to the midgies and it gets quite warm when it’s 20° outside. Definitely take a hike around the island. Stunning views!”

“The hotel was quaint and charming, a little old in places but nothing major. The staffs were extremely helpful and pleasant. The location was great. Breakfast was delicious, we also had dinner there and it was wonderful, other than they did not cook my steak correctly, but they took it off the bill, which is great customer service.”

“As a bikepacker, I arrived at the Kilmartin hotel with my bike and bags after a long day riding off-road. The room was excellent. All the facilities I need. The staff was very kind and helpful. The local pub in this beautiful and ancient town was situated in the hotel itself. Perfect for having a well deserved pint! Restaurant was excellent! Same goes for breakfast in the morning.”
