Hotel Piran
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed in the old part of the hotel with the portholes. The room was illuminated by the sun on the sea waves, it was also great waking up to look over the sea. It definitely added to a unique stay. The rooms itself was well laid out and we enjoyed the conscious effort to be more sustainable. The hotel itself was amazing with a great location next to the water, ideal for a swim within meters of the hotel. We also tried the restaurant and were really impressed with the service and quality (albeit vegetarian options were lacking). Staff were all super an were really helpful at all stages for recommendations. The shuttle to /from the nearby garage was also great adding to a very relaxing stay."

"Don’t be put off by the lack of reviews - this place is great. Recently done out. Rooms immaculate. Dining hall the same and a great variety of food. Wonderful seafront location with delightful walk to Piran and Portoroz nearby the other way. Staff all really helpful. Great pool just by the sea. Lovely little row of gift shops between the rooms and the pool area. Only thing was you had to pay for sun loungers but I think quite a few places do that in Italy. We were two adults and three children who came for a rest after travelling for a week and it was brilliant."

"The location is wonderful, small stroll from the hotel’s private beach and convenient for the bus into Piran, stops right outside. Pool and sauna are were quiet and really nice too."

"We enjoyed the outside patio for lunch & breakfast and the kitchen. The room was clean but very small. We had to put our suitcases under the bed. The bed was against the wall so to get up during the night was a bit tricky. The price and location was good."

"Hotel location is excellent, next to the freeway from Slovenia to Venice. The room is clean and the staff is helpful. The restaurant inside the casino has very good dinner. The reason it is four stars is due to the shower closure. Water leak out constantly from the closure gap and bottom. You have to hold the shower head with hand and point it inward."

"Second visit, two years after our first. A little run down, breakfast is ok, not deserving of the “top rated” note, It was not even a question when I started my review which is strange. Staff is much less smiling then before or even other places is Slovenia. (just did Ljubljiana and Bled before this) In fact I would go as far as saying that the bar/dining room staff has not smiled once in the two days. Maybe August was tough on them The location is amazing though, the beach is rocky, but water was at 28c!!! The two restaurants 100 m away were good and staff was friendly. The path to Piran is also a nice way to get into town"
