"The hotel was great. People, room, breakfast was all amazing. The only issue was that if you have a Fjord view hotel room and a cruise ship docks, your view is gone. So if you like sitting on your deck you might want to check the cruise ship docking schedule for the Flåm port."

"This is a very special hotel up in the mountains. They view is spectacular, the place is spotless, the beds are very comfortable, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and the food is excellent. We loved staring out at the mountains while enjoying the breakfast buffet and then ending the day with a game in the lounge over dessert. It’s a great midway point between places to go in western Norway, like Briksdalbreen and Geiranger. There are also a number of small towns along the way if you drive in from Ålesund airport, where it was fun to walk around and stop for a pastry. We loved the Videseter and would definitely stay here again."

"Beautiful area with lots of indoor and outdoor activities, kids loved it! Washer and dryer were the typical small, expensive, and ineffective machines. Didn't pay for bkfst or use the restaurant."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Hofslund Fjord hotel. The hotel is a beautifully maintained historic building and the rooms are updated but keep many of the historic elements. We had a beautiful view of the fjord from our room. The buffet breakfast was exceptional."

"Staff xlnt friendly, very helpful about travel questions, very knowledgeable. We liked all the different leisure rooms and 6th floor loft to relax, dinner buffet among the best I’ve had."
Lærdal Hotel

"The view from the room was outstanding and the proximity to town is great. The room was decently sized but the shower allowed water to run out throughout the floor. It's not an uncommon setup but this one in particular was tough and the fan in the bathroom didn't work. The views, the location all made it worth it but the price was kind of steep considering the basic nature of this stay. I guess I would stay again but not my most comfortable stay."
