"This hotel is at a great location, only a block from the main street. That meant we could easily walk to the dining and shopping area. It is also very close to hiking trails and the lake. Its pet friendly but is a clean property.
Only criticism would be that the shower needs a better waterproof liner. There was a mini lake after a shower from the water spraying straight through the cloth liner."
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Honestly for the price we paid we expected less but it is really such a lovely place. I would say “quaint” but sometimes people take that out of context. The place has a lot of character. It is not “fancy” like some big places but our room was big, beautiful and perfect for us. The grounds are lovely. The pool and hot tub were perfect for relaxing in the evenings. The breakfast was very nice. All in all it was an awesome stay."
"I have mostly good things to say about the lodge, but of course no place is perfect.
Pros–
*Lakeside location with relaxing views
*Spacious rooms
*Working fireplace
*Plenty of closet and storage space
*Pool
*Hot tub
*Private beach
*Beach chairs
*Pool towels
*Plenty of free parking
*Close to some shops and eateries
*Pet-free
Cons–
*Mattress. If you are used to a firm or even a medium-firm bed, this might not work for you. I tried out mattresses in two different rooms, but they were essentially the same. Too soft for me, but this is a matter of personal preference.
*Noise. The other guests were mostly quiet, but there was a mechanical sound that came through the walls at regular intervals. The room I was in technically had no neighbors on either side so it was supposed to be quieter, but it had two linen closets that housekeeping staff were constantly in and out of so a lot of shuffling and doors closing. Not their fault of course. And lastly, the small refrigerator was pretty loud. I considered unplugging it, but I had yogurt in there lol. I would definitely recommend a stay here as long as you do your research. Are you ok with a soft bed and some noise?"
"Perfect location. Walking distance to Heavenly Village shoppes. Game room for family fun. Spacious, clean rooms. Happy hour daily events and a full breakfast with bacon! 10 star experience!"
