"All the staff at the hotel were very helpful, they went out of their way ti accommodate you. The hotel was clean and tidy,. We had lunch once at the restaurant/bar and it was obvious that one person couldn't keep up with the inflowing crowd, there were othere restaurant workers standing around, but they did nothing to help the one person taking care of 12 to 15 customers at a time. I was disappointed with the bed in the room, it seemed like it was there since the hotel opened, there were indentations so deep in the mattress that it formed a mountain range in the middle. Besides those things the hotel was great."

"I have been wanting to stay at the Menger for over 40 years. My fiancee and I decided it would be our base for our weekend getaway to San Antonio. We stayed in the historic section. Our room was clean, comfortable and enjoyable. We didn't see any ghosts, but our desk lamp was on upon our return Saturday evening which we had not left on. The staff was amazing. Every person we interacted with regardless of their position or our question jumped through hoops to ensure we were happy and went out of their way to respond to our questions and/or needs. We enjoyed the beauty and the history of the Hotel. We had an obligatory drink at the Menger Bar which is a must when you stay there. All in all, the stay was incredibly pleasant and satisfying, we intend to come back more often."
