“It is winter in Australia. The motel had the air con heat set at 10 degrees, no phone in the room. So no way of getting help at 3 a.m in the morning. The temperature was 5 degrees that night. No extra blankets either. I also called the motel before arriving and said I would pay in cash when we arrived. They used my credit card before we arrived, was not happy about that. Overall disappointed. For a small country town $203 a night ( standard motel room) I would not stay there again”

“I was greeted at reception by two very friendly jack russells, a short walk down the veranda bought us to our basic room. 5 quite steep steps down to where we parked our car, which is under cover and outside our room. There is a pub that serves food just minutes walk up the road or a RSL across the road. Free toiletries, a fridge, a microwave, kettle and crockery were all provided along with towels. “Motel rooms are a good size, very clean but dated. Front reception was Michael, a great guy and helpful. Great view of the mountains outside of the rooms at the bottom end. I didn't like someone's rubbish in the bin inside my room. Didn't like the small half glass cut open in the bathroom which allowed cold air in. Air con worked perfectly on heat. Bed was hard for me. Bathroom immaculately clean. In the end of the day the price is right.”
