"Our room was big and comfortable about 18m2 (6mx3m) and a bathroom about 5m2. Shared kitchen was clean. Room was clean. I think there are 4-5 rooms total. "The Best Hotel Residence Italia is a great option if you're planning on visiting Cagliari and Quartu Sant Elena, or even for a stop over before moving on to other places in sout east Sardinia. It's super close to the Poetto beach, you can either walk there (15 minutes) and see the beatiful flamingos in the lagoon or take a bus (bus stop across the street) and get there in less than 3 minutes. "The apartment we stayed in was upstairs with a balcony. It was spotlessly clean and well appointed. Everything needed for our stay. Balcony area needed more comfortable furniture in general- when I asked for sun loungers, they were brought up straight away. Parking on site is excellent and very secure. No fault of the apartment owners but we did have a very noisy family next to us who let their children run around the car park and gardens until 10pm each night - not great when you want to relax on the balcony! The bed was very hard and quite uncomfortable for us. A car is an absolute essential. The apartments are in a residential area with a beach at the end of the road and a supermarket at the other end . Very handy. There are one or two restaurants that you can walk to but it is a very busy road. The marina is a short drive with a restaurant/cafe and it’s lovely. They are building a pool on the plot of land next door so there was some daytime noise (we stayed June 2025). A great holiday, very enjoyable. "
