“It was -12 on Portage Lake and we cranked the heat pump up to 75. The Birds Nest cabin needs another heat source. Upstairs was cold when we got back at 10:30 pm after leaving the heat on all day in the cabin.The two full size beds that are pictured is one that’s on the bottom of a metal bunk bed frame and the other is upstairs where the roof is pitched so one side has no head room to accommodate two grown adults.New owners shut the water off for the winter. Didn’t know that until the day we left...

“The room was clean and comfortable, air conditioning was working very well and my bed was super comfy.”

“Room was clean, place was quiet. There is a restaurant downstairs but we didn't get the opportunity to try it, but it smelled good! Plenty of parking, easy to get to.”

“Very clean, the building inside and out was a little worn but the rooms are immaculately clean. To be fair the outside is undergoing some cosmetic renovations which is great! It had everything I needed, a hot shower, comfy bed and a fantastic breakfast. The pool very clean, warm, nice. The front desk lady from Boston was awesome! So welcoming and talked to my husband from Canada in French! Wow! She is a talented customer service professional. Thanks for a wonderful stay.”

“The staff at the Hampton Inn were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered daily was basically as good as one might expect of hotel pre-prepared food. Yet the person managing the breakfast area kept it very neat. She even offered to bring us more coffee! She remembered guests that come through from time to time. So one feels welcome and a little more uplifted after breakfast. The front desk person was likewise friendly although I didn’t have as much interaction there.”

“Stay was good. The loacation is very nice and it worked very well for where we needed to be. The place could use some minor fixing up and maybe some fresh exterior painting. We wrapped our work up there a day early but paid for the full 11 days. Wish there could have been a way to get reimbursed for thate last day that we didn't stay.”
