"The room was clean. However, it was a very hot day and the air conditioning did not cool the room, even when left overnight. There were some strange features like a hugely oversized head board and a tiny television. One end of the room was painted black. Lots of attempts at style but felt that this is at the expense of the usefulness, like tiny side bedlamps which were only lit if the whole headboard was lit up too. Breakfast was mediocre. Shame as the staff were all lovely."

"Our room had a strange configuration, meaning there was no door to the bathroom. The room was also very dark with little lighting. The room itself (and the bathroom) was a good size. The location was very good - handy for the station and a short walk to the old town centre."

Spacious, spotless rooms, cozy lounge on the main floor, very friendly and attentive staff and a unique display of Roman ruins in the basement surrounded by a dining room where you can enjoy breakfast.
