“Room really clean able to park straight outside the property”

“Great location for getting around Whitby. Shame about lack of car parking. Shower drain in our room was prone to blocking. Concerned it might flood the downstairs. We did mention it to staff. Overall a pleasant stay. Might be an idea to mention the stairs leading to upper room as less mobile guests may struggle”

“Parking in the hotel car park was almost impossible unless you have pre booked at a cost of £8 a night in a reserved space. The hotel is undergoing extensive renovation which inevitably involves some scaffolding on part of the outside and the ballroom is nearing completion. These things caused little inconvenience as we enjoyed a lovely de luxe room with a fabulous view over the harbour. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall we enjoyed a lovely short break and will be returning”

Be aware the loft appartment is up 3 flights of stairs, but once you reach it, it is very quaint and an ideal base. “We ended up staying one night of the three that we booked. This was primarily because the moment we arrived at the place we discovered the pets weren’t allowed anywhere beyond the ground floor and, if they were “well behaved” into the kitchen area. This accommodation can only be described as pet tolerant and not pet friendly.”
