However, during our stay housekeeping was haphazard. We had to ask for clean towels and the bed wad only ever made up once during a seven night stay. “The Waterwheel Inn was exceptional. We had a garden suite which opened straight out onto the amazing gardens and a small double room. Both were decorated nicely and kept clean. Breakfast was served in the lovely conservatory and was excellent with good choices and nice touches like home-made jams and granola. “Charlestown was lovely but Room 4 we was allocated was way too small it was Ok for a night or two but would try the pier if visiting again as didn’t think the cost matched the room size definitely would not want a week as way too small. “This pub was a great stop for us following a day of walking the SWCP. Very peaceful even though it is a pub. It is approximately 1 mile from Perranunthnoe, and SWCP. Bus 2 runs from right outside so ideal for connections to Penzance and Porthleven. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.”
