"We were looking for something last minute after an 11hour drive. The hotel has far exceeded our expectations. The pictures looked ok, but in reality this place is so much nicer. Really beautifully designed interior whilst respecting the heritage of the building, excellent bar, very friendly staff. All of this right on the doorstep of a national park with a lake to swim in. "

"Didn't get timely instructions. Didnt know how to access garage. Hotel does not resemble the picture on Expedia! It's been downsized and the entire surrounding area is changed - which made finding it in the rain at night quite tricky. Once you're in the hotel, it's lovely and well appointed. The breakfast is wonderful. Nice fan in the room to support ventilation."

"The location is beautiful and scenery but the cottage itself was too small to accomodate 4 of us. No proper beds just sofa beds which were really a hassle to open and rather uncomfortable. There is no private bathroom and the toilet and showers are locared separately outside the cottage. Making this very uncomfortable and awkward if one needs to use the bathroom late at night in the cold, rain and snow. We ended up leaving and didnt make our full stay 😪 "

"As Lord of the Ring fans, we were excited to start our trip to Sweden in this unique “cave” or “hobbit hole”. We were very disappointed. First, when we booked the room it said towels were not included. A few days after our opportunity to cancel without penalty, they sent an updated policy to state they would not include linens or towels. Then when we arrived a few minutes before check in should have begun, the man was closing up for the day! If we had not been early, we would have not known how...
