A lovely central hotel on Gamle Stan, and what a good choice it turned out to be. A lovely old hotel opposite the water, with quaint twists and turns. Very close to the good restaurants. To cap it all the breakfasts are fantastic - loads of choice, hot, cold, drinks juices. No lunch was necessary after that breakfast. Terrific.

Our original old town hotel did not work out and, in a jam, we turned to Hotel Gamla Stan. Nico at the front desk was incredibly helpful, not only finding rooms for us but also suggesting several other hotels we might check for a single room for 3 people. That was enough for us to book immediately with Nico. The hotel is wonderfully situated, close to the tour boat launch and easily walkable to everything in Old Town. The breakfast was also very good with a fine selection of hot and cold entrees, fruits and pastries.

The staff was so helpful giving directions to museums, etc. The breakfast was a dream come true! Loved having a bathroom downstairs to use before heading out for the day. This hotel is in the best location for seeing so many beautiful places and getting on the water taxi. I would stay again on my next visit!
