“A lovely country pub, with excellent, beautifully cooked food. The hosts are exceptionally helpful and friendly, and couldn’t do enough for us. Very dog friendly - we were able to have our Labrador with us when we ate in the bar. Bedroom quite small, but manageable. Situated in a really beautiful area, and within easy reach of Richmond, which is an interesting, historical town with lots to see and do. ”

“Friendliest staff I’ve ever met at a hotel had to move rooms due to noisy air conditioning units outside our window but accommodated us no problem couldn’t do enough for you definitely will go back thanks for a great weekend ”

“We were on the Cleveland Way and the Kings Head es our resting place after a long adventurous walk. A very nice Spot, friendly staff. Thank you ”

“Beautiful setting, walked through the lavender bushes after a delicious Sunday roast. Room is amazing and the staff are so lovely. All made for a relaxing, overnight stay.”

“Generally very good stay. Landlady made me feel at home and lent me a parking disc which gave me free parking until 10.00am the next morning. Very nice cooked breakfast with cereal and proper coffee. Only small issue was that the curtains let in more street lamp light than I'm used to. Blackout curtains would have been ideal.”

“Staff were friendly. Only downside was hot water ran out after one bath. Had to wait over 20 minutes for breakfast but was worth the wait. ”
