But the outdoor areas were overgrown and neglected: with very high grass; the access down to the water totally overgrown so not usable; the bench in the picture also completely overgrown and inaccessible; and the platform on the water was broken and not accessible. "The host is friendly, she sent a welcome e-mail and instructions early and responded on questions quickly. The house is a few km out from Avesta on river bank, nice and quiet. One rents a one room + kitchen + shower/wc whereas there may be other guests renting other parts of the house. The house and the furniture are pretty old, but fully functional (dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, etc.) It is the perfect place if one looks for a peaceful corner, wishes to make food oneself...

"Vi fick en chock! Beskrivningen på Hotels motsvarar inte stugans faciliteter alls. Skicket stämmer heller inte med tanke på priset. Stugan har en snygg rustik design som säkert passar för privat bruk, men är helt olämpligt för uthyrning. Ofräscht stuga över lag och ofräscht utedass som ligger 10m från stugan. "Hej! Vi inkl. hunden är mycket nöjda med vår övernattning. Bra service vid incheckningen då jag missat att meddela att en hund finns med samt centralt läge. Hann med ett mycket trevligt besök på Dalarnas museum för mig som hållit på Leksands IF i hockeyn sedan mitten av 70-talet."

"This hotel is beautiful on the inside. Large and comfortable rooms with amazingly comfy beds that are reclining. Huge clean bathroom, tons of electric outlets in the room. The lobby and restaurant is also very stylish with plenty of space, yet gives a cozy atmosphere with lighting and a fireplace. The food at dinner was great, and there was a huge selection at breakfast. Something for everyone! They even have a games room for kids to play foozeball or Ping pong. We didn’t have time to check out the pool, but we will be back next year!"
