I stopped during the recent heatwave and was pleased I had packed my mini travel fan as my room had the sun in the afternoon, usually this would have been a treat, just not on this occasion. My room was on the ground floor and initially I thought, that’s no problem… except the windows face the garden and communal outside seating, so make sure you close the curtains to spare any blushes.. “I requested breakfast but was told they didn’t do it anymore. The stairs were cramped with 2 turns and inadequate/absent rails. We did not meet any staff. There was a note saying how we could ring them. The hot and cold water at the wash basin were plumbed in the wrong way round. I did not see any indicator for which was hot or cold. It matters because this is where you fill the kettle. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm.”

“Great location. Lovely rooms as I’ve stayed in the hotel many times. Comfortable and clean. Gorgeous toiletries to use. Small car park but parking near by if you can’t park at the hotel but I’ve only had this issue once or twice. Highly recommended hotel”

“Beautiful, spacious room with good facilities (the sherry was a really nice touch; I sampled and I must say, it was delicious!). Parking was a doddle - we got a spot directly opposite the building and were able to park unrestricted for our entire overnight stay without issue. Location was perfect as you are literally steps away from the shops/pubs/restaurants/square. The only negative for us was the noise from the road; we were on the ground floor at the front of the building and the traffic...
