"There was an Avalanche on the hiway, therefore we needed to cancel our stay. There was no way to get to the hotel and the road was closed. When we booked the hotel it was non-refundable, however I thought because it was out of our control that we would attempt to cancel it without charges. Expedia even tried to cancel it on our behalf, however the hotel denied it. I will never stay there, and would strongly urge others not to stay there either. "

"Great stay for a short stay to ski in the mountains! The room was well appointed and the motel style made it easy to get out to the mountains quickly. Lovely new carpet had been very recently installed and was still off-gassing so we tried to air out the room as much as possible; no complaints from us as it felt very clean, but if you're very sensitive this could be an issue. We loved the hot tubs and pool area, and the staff was very polite and accommodating. One easy thing the hotel could add would be board games available to borrow from the main lobby. Thank you for a nice stay! "

"The check in was really easy and the staff was very kind and helpful. The room was even better than expected and I really enjoyed my stay. The only downfalls were that the vent in the bathroom was extremely filthy, which I told staff at checkout. To which they replied they’d mention it to cleaning staff right away. The other downfall was that the shower was incredibly tiny and the shower head wasn’t really adjustable. This is coming from someone who is 5”3. So I found that to be a bit unfortunate. And finally, my rating is only 4/5 because the furnace was incredibly loud and strange sounding and woke me up throughout the first night. It was perhaps just because it hasn’t been in use for a bit, but at some points it made a sound similar to a crackling fireplace. It ended up being quieter on my second night which was a relief. To end this off on a high note, I was incredibly pleased to see a little path had been shoveled for me by staff quite early in the morning from the door to my vehicle. So that was really pleasant to see after a rather big snowfall!"

"Room smelt terrible, like greasy fish. We had 4 rooms booked and had cancelled one night on one room. Had email confirmation from the hotel and from Expedia. The staff at check in were less than helpful, saying we have to pay for that one night. The manager on site was also useless. So back to Expedia I had to go, waiting on hold for another hour of my life, for something that was already taken care of weeks in advance. Pool was ok. Crowded and noisy, but the kids liked it. I also had an inquiry about 2 weeks before check-in that went unanswered. They also had no parking available on the property so we had to Street park. Not a huge deal, but just one more thing"

"We had stayed at JPL many years ago annd we enjoyed it then and although the recent forest fire affected the overall lodge it was still an enjoyable experience. Much of the main lodge was closed for renovations so there is no way to comment on what that would have done for our experience."
