"Wonderful historic property, well maintained and being updated as we were there. While not being air conditioned was understood, was surprised at how hot the room got - small sea facing window didn’t really allow the room to cool off even though days were only 24 C and nights were down to 15-18 C.
Lovely location - both the hotel location and the Sutton/Howth area."

"My stay at Portmarnock was exceptional. The perfect final stay for my last night in Ireland. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. The hotel and my room was beautiful. The grounds were peaceful and breathtaking. My spa experience was just what I hoped. And The Jameson was friendly and delicious. Highly recommend."

"Nice stay - extremely helpful staff. Rooms were comfy and a decent size. Bar and restaurant were both great. Buses to airport run every 30 minutes which is convenient. Only downside was no air conditioning - which normally wouldn’t be a problem but it was unusually warm when we stayed. I’d stay here again."
