Within two months after the event, revolutionary actions in various parts of China succeeded and eventually overthrew the Qing Dynasty, and in the following year ( 1912 ) On the New Year's Day, the Republic of China was established and became the first country in East Asia to be universally recognized as a sovereign and independent country.
