Wonderful stay with amazing food

Lovely hosts make our stay a wonderful and memorable experience! Even though location is ten minutes away from main town, host will drop you off and pick you up whenever you need. The house itself is old and requires quite a lot of update. Our room also feels a bit like dorm room for three of us. But everything is clean including bath tub. The most impressive is the food! Tasty breakfast every morning and super delicious dinner was a big surprise! Highly recommend all customers to reserve the Hida beef dinner with them. 5 course meal for a very reasonable price and my parents are still talking about it being one of their favorite meals from our entire trip!

Family atmosphere in Takayama

Yasuda is a great host! Although the inn is outside Takayama, he picked our bags at the train station, which allowed us to stroll freely around Takayama. Dinner at the guesthouse was also excellent

Real gem. Awesome food

This place is a bit off thd beaten track but this was made up for by the willingness of that hotel to drive us about. The room itself was bleak . Very basic . But soon we were sucked in by thd warmth and hospitality of the staff. The big plus wax thd fantastic food. Really excellent cuisine and nirvana too expensive. I would choose this simple inn over a modern international hotel any day

Great people but the place needs a facelift.

On the plus side, the dining area and Japanese-style TV lounge are fine. You can even bring in your own food and drink if you wish. The owner and his family are very hospitable and could not be nicer. The bedrooms,however, are basic in the extreme and would benefit from an upgrade and some sound insulation. Finally the hotel is quite a long way out of town but to be fair, they are always pleased to give guests a lift to and from town.

It was my second time visiting this Yasuda Pension. I feel like I was at my home. Good access to Shirakawa-Go and many ski resorts also center of Takayama by car rental.

Nice quiet hotel with a Spanish flavour

The hotel is cozy but can use some renovations. The dinner was not typical Japanese but with Western dishes and are very well presented and delicious. The owner Yasuda San was so kind to keep our leftover fruits until end of the day. I would return to stay here again.

Een ervaring! Hele aardige eigenaar, zij koken heerlijke diners met aandacht, tailor-made, met desgewenst traditionele gerechten. Je wordt als gast goed verzorgd, en met een busje gebracht en gehaald van het station. Onderweg zicht op prachtige besneeuwde bergen. Een heerlijke belevenis.

Cosy, family run pension.

Very friendly, obliging hosts. Free shuttle service to town (you need this as the pension is located a way out of town). Great breakfast. Rooms very cosy, comfortable common area.

not good for traveler who take public transport

Quite unhappy of the first day check in and know that no air conditioner is provided, especially the weather is a bit hot. It changes better when the weather turns colder in the second and third day. I have no demand about the pension in which the room is small.

Accueil sympa.

Pension avec un personnel très agréable et serviable (pour nous amener et nous ramener au centre du village qui est à 10 min en voiture). Chambre petite avec une salle de bains mais avec un confort modeste. Pas de clim. Chambre sans charme.
