This was a very nice hotel with attentive staff. It is located within the old town so there was so much that was very close--including just outside of old town. The only downside was my window faced a sort of back ally that was secured for use of the hotel and restaurant only (no stragglers used it). Sadly there were times I would have my windows open and have to shut them because of someone smoking stinky cigarettes below. Other than that--it was a perfect stay there.

Nice hotel, exceptional value for money

Nice hotel located just inside the old city walls, with large rooms, maybe slightly dated, but exceptional value for money. Friendly staff, and a great bakery/cafe underneath called Rukis which did great breakfasts. Would definitely stay again

The double room I booked was very small and the bed was tired and not particularly comfortable. The shower was fine, however, and the hotel is conveniently situated for the old town. I thought the cost was pretty exorbitant considering that it didn’t include breakfast.

Tallinn in May

Had business in Tallinn and decided to try Rixwell. Location is very good in the old town, close to both restaurants, bars and shopping. I think it is quite torn and need renovation. Staff is doing their job but could and should be much more friendly. Poor breakfast with swedish measures, but it will take you through the day.

I stayed for a week, and enjoyed the large room with seating furniture. And the price was good, I brought my AppleTV and could see my TV-things on the wall-mounted TV, which was good to have. There was only bath soap for the shower, so I was glad to bring shampoo and conditioner. Cleaning was good and only when you requested it, perfect in my book. The fridge was useful. The location is very good, just next to the Viru Gate and with in-house cafe and restaurant. Breakfast is served until 10.30 and 11 which I found very useful too, and checkout is at 12, also very good. I hate early checkouts. The room also had a water boiler, which I didn't use, but really a nice thing to have. The service was very friendly in general.
