“Very basic”

“Charming pub with rooms in the courtyard. Each one had parking outside. Very spacious room with comfortable bed, smart tv and tea & coffee making facilities. Good size en suite with great shower. Towels provided along with a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Breakfast was made to order along with continental options. Staff friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. ”

“The room was minamilistic. No towels.Shampoo or soap. Extremely nosey as pub on the lower floor. I only ended up staying one night. The staff how ever where very friendly.”

“Hottest day in May on record and the heating was on in my room. After speaking with staff three times and an hour and a half later, I was moved to another room. In spite of the wonderful advert featuring a restaurant I was told no kitchen tonight. Second room was very noisy overlooking the car park which doubles as a camping ground for motor homes, with ten present. No mattress cover and a very dirty mattress. Black mould on the bathroom ceiling which had been painted over but still showed...

“Very basic rooms, double beds very small, nowhere to put luggage or clothing Food was poor particularly breakfast Some members of staff were excellent but others somewhat unhelpful Parking was good Toilet facilities in the pub were dirty”

“A very nice place and excellent pub food. We stayed in the "annex" across the street from the pub. As they warned, the staris were steep, so those with mobility issues may have trouble. The room was large and the bathroom was good. We only requested room cleaning once during our 6-night stay. The only minor issue was it seemed the common hallways and our room floor was not vacummed. All other services were excellent. We would definitely return to the Rose & Crown.”

“Clean and staff super friendly. We booked a room which didn’t go through but staff managed to find us a room thankfully. It’s cheap and cheerful which is what I paid for. No complaints ”
