"We stayed at a one bedroom apartment facing east. This unit was on the 23rd floor and though it was high from the ground the noise of the city was loud. For a moment I felt I was in New York as the near by Atahualpa Stadium was testing the sound for a local concert. The other thing I noticed was that it gets hot in the morning if you don’t lower the window treatments. And one minus was that there is no dryer in the unit. "This is a very lovely ecuadorian style hotel, with very friendly staff. It has marvelous decorations all over, the beds are comfortable, the showers are hot. It does not have elevators, but the staff happily carried our bags to the third floor, where our room overlooked a plaza. The breakfast was made to order with a marvelous bowl of fresh fruit. It is right in the heart of the old city and was quite safe to walk at night. It was so nice to stay in a hotel that was different from the cookie cutter american type of hotel. "
