We took the train from nearby San Lazaro di Savenna which has free parking. Note that there is a Trenitalia ticket machine at this location but it is only on the one platform and is hidden until you get to the top of the main stairs. "The hotel was excellent! The room was nicer than we expected. The breakfast was also very good. The restaurant however was a letdown. It was charming and the service was good but I ordered pasta with mussels and it was inedible. I am not a food snob by any means and I will eat almost anything but the meal was so salty that I forced myself to eat a portion of it because I was really hungry. The pasta was really salty the broth had no flavour other than salt and the mussels also were super salty and otherwise tasteless. Probably the worst pasta dish i have ever been served. Too bad because as a Canadian coming to Italy my expectations were a little higher. I told the server than it was not good and I actually expected them to not charge me for it but they did , and I imagine the server never told the cook ( I would say chef but that would be a huge exaggeration). Therefore I am writing this review because it was terrible . My wife’s dish was okay , but not great. Our friends fish was good although it came with nothing but fish , so on a scale of 10 I would give the restaurant a 3."

"PET OWNERS BEWARE. The property charges Euro20 per night for a dog. But dogs are BANNED from several areas of the hotel. Dogs banned from restaurant)breakfast area, for example The hotel owner would prefer a dog to die in the heat of a car (while you eat) or bark their heads off while left in your room to the annoyance of other guests Dogs are either allowed.....or not. At Euro20, a relatively high charge, such canine discrimination is not acceptable. Don't take a pet to this hotel. Hotels.com advertised it as "pet friendly" - that is an INACCURATE description."

"The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. The hallways were quiet at night without any appreciable noise. Some of the staff were very friendly and others were less so. The complimentary breakfast was ok. Their laundry service was very good. The parking was a bit tight in the front of the hotel. Overall, it was a good hotel and definitely one of the better ones in the area."

"The staff was rude, out of the 5 restaurants 3 were closed. There was no room service. We had 4 rooms booked for our group. They gave easy to access, walkable distance for the 2 room with NO kids and they put the other 2 rooms in an extremely far away room because we had kids. Just awful"

"Had to change rooms as small tiles on bathroom floor lifting and left sharp edges you could cut your foot with. Took two days from the day I asked to get another room. Toilet flush on the wall not secured/moving about also water on/off in shower pulling out of the wall. Windows in room poorly fitted with gaps all around. "
