"It was more of an old hotel than antique ( things were worn like the carpet and furniture) could probably use some updating and it needs AC control for each room! It was 85 degrees for 3 days and they said the AC will begin next week. The TV is tiny for the size of the room but the make up vanity was a plus. The bed cushions and throws could be softer and balcony furniture definitely needs to be improved. It’s too noisy to leave the door open for fresh air so my nights we uncomfortably hot! II liked the location for walking and the hotel has complimentary bikes to get around! The staff was extremely accommodating and pleasant. I was given good directions and restaurant suggestions. I also received information for Bus and Fly from the reception and that saved me over €100 to get to the airport!! The breakfast croissants were yummy with a cappuccino to start my days! I liked that the area was local with a bar and supermarket. A bigger fridge would have been ideal to keep my own charcuterie, cheese and wine!! After all it’s Italy!!"
"We weren't allowed to use the pool, hot tub or sauna, priority guven to a wedding reception. Some mosquitoes were aound and Japanese beetles. Breakfast was good. Staff friendly. Villa was nice."
"The hotel was a disappointment as contrary to advertisement in fact did not have air conditioning. It only uses air conditioning part of the year. The air was stagnant, humid and warm. Very disappointing. The rooms and baths we at the same time modern and at the same time drab, I will never be fooled about claims of air conditioning again.
The staff and breakfast were very satisfactory and the hotel had a modern part and a dated part. We were assigned the dated part perhaps because we booked through Expedia.
The Ferrara train station was the worst of all that we traveled through in Italy. This experience left met with little desire to visit the City again."
