"Great Staff doing very well at a property struggling with equipment malfunction. At our time of stay the Parking Gate & the oven were not working . Staff were charming and helpful"

"The lady in reception was also the waitress & the cook of the microwave food. Really not good enough for a 4 star hotel. People had to wait in reception whilst she got other customers food out of the microwave. Nothing stated that there was no chef & only microwave food. I gave my card as a security for the room but was charged more than the room & food yesterday. This shouldn’t happen. I have received the credit today but that then means 2 transactions. Parking also debatably as we have a blue badge."

"The main hotel building as shown on the website was closed and looked unfit for purpose. A seperate Motel type Annexe was used for Rooms, as was a seperate building for the restaurant. Unsure what the main hotel block was used for but there were washing machines, for general use, outside the entrance. The Bedroom and Bathroom appeared clean but no A/C and with daytime temperatures around 30C, It was an uncomfortable night, even though an electric fan was provided. The whole place looked tired bland and unwelcoming with a big question mark as to security. Awakening for an early start , and on looking out of the window to ensure the car was still in place, there was a man and woman across the car park, some 80 metres away on a grassy bank, in the "Hotel's" grounds, and on full view, having a very lively sexual encounter. Not a place I would be able to recommend to any traveller and I certainly would not return , even for free."

"Check out was closed between 12-4pm - even though I was given information we could check in from 2pm - This was also on their own website and information given to my wife who booked via another website to. So arriving a 2.20pm in the pouring rain from an early am flight wasn't ideal. All shut up - nowhere to stand except in the porch and an hour wait for staff to arrive around 3.30pm - not an ideal start - Limited tea/coffee n towels also experienced - Ok on a budget, but maybe a bit more expected after check in "

"The breakfast was really poor. Often there wasn't any bread left. The bacon was black. Looked as if it was several days old. Fruit salad bowl was empty most days and there was very little choice of jam. The orange juice was souer. We had already stayed in several very reasonably priced hotels where in each case the breakfast was good. We expected better for the price. "
