“I love old fashioned, traditional pubs & inns, and this was perfect. Wooden beams, creaky floors, etc. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The meals were of high quality & decently priced, too, the breakfast exceptional! Plenty of parking available. I will definitely visit there again.”

“The hotel was in a perfect location in the old town. A prominent hotel on the high street dating back to 17th century, lots of history attached to the hotel. The room was comfortable but in need of updating. An enjoyable stay in an historic building lots of atmosphere and character. Only disadvantage was the lack of breakfast although there are plenty of cafes nearby. I would certainly stay there again.”

“The overall, feeling of a very nice place to stay, food ambience staff, where it is. Once you realise the sat nav wants to take you down a road that’s going to be closed for a year ,a drive all the way round the barracks and plenty parking . We would go back k if in the area again”

“This uh, historic, pub inn, is the kind of hotel where they clean it so rarely you regret taking off your shoes. The smells that overwhelm you as you enter are complimentary. The shower gets an honourable mention here because not only is the mold and dirt so omnipresent you soon forget about that because it feels like the base is going to give out from under you. The bathroom is giving “gas station”, disrespectfully. The water leaks out of the shower so often it’s created a depressed channel in...
