“Great location”

“I felt mistreated by the staff during my stay, even though I tried to be a courteous guest and communicate respectfully. The hotel itself is in a great location, and the river view from the balcony was truly enjoyable. However, I would not choose this hotel again because of the treatment I received. There were no greetings, no smiles, and responses were neither prompt nor attentive. I had read many positive reviews about the staff before booking, so I expected at least decent hospitality....

“The roon was okay but starting with reservation, the dates were wrong so had to call back to get them right. Was told whe I made the reservation that pets stayed free and the hotel had free continental breakfast, which they didn't and there was a pet fee. When we got to the room, thr recliner was very difficult to recline and the set up. Very uncomfortable to sit in. The bed was very firm and uncomfortable. The staff that checked us in was nice and apoligized for the misinformation that expedia...

“The initial reception was unfriendly- I felt like an inconvenience asking to check in. Our room was large and very clean but the smell of bleach was overwhelming and made me feel a little unwell. I visited reception and fortunately a helpful and friendly receptionist was on the desk. She sourced some air freshener for me straight away and brought it to our room. That did the trick. ”

“The hot tub was broken, and apparently been broken for about 2 weeks. I specifically got this property for the spa. There was no mentioned to us that it was broken before or after booking. It is more expensive to stay at this location than the other Holiday in about 3 miles away. Go to the downtown one.”

“This Day's Inn had one of the friendliest and most personable check-in clerks we ever encountered--BRAVO! The inn seems to have recently been renovated and the room was super clean and comfortable. The shower featured a great hold bar-nice for oldies. The inn is provided a nice complimentary breakfast. One drawback was that the one and only drink machine was out of order (the clerk revealed this machine often does not work)--so stop at a nearby convenience store. Otherwise, this motel was...
