There is no official trail to this beautiful lake in the Grand Tetons. When you hike up to Surprise and Amphitheater Lake, you have to leave the trail after about 5km and follow the cairns or better have a GPS device with you. The last part is very steep but the reward you will get at the end is priceless.
Hidden Falls trail follows the edge of Jenny Lake for a fairly easy 5 mile hike to Hidden Falls. You can take a boat shuttle across the lake for $9/pp each way to shave a mile off the hike in either direction. For 2015, the adjacent trail to Inspiration Point is closed for restoration. #hiking #UStravel #NationalPark #Wyoming #lake #mountains #gooutside

If you are taking rafts or boats to any of the lakes in the Tetons you need to pay a state fee then a federal fee then have them inspected then you can go through the gate. We only had a couple of hours to kayak and the hassle wasn’t worth it!! All we got were pictures, not an experience.

Airport road construction go early and avoid being stopped in traffic for a good 30 minutes.
