"Everything about New Paltz Way is top tier! My husband and I spent a long weekend here in one of the king-sized suites. The whole hotel is beautiful. The outside is deceptively masculine and high-end plain. The inside is lovely: warm, clean, and cozy. The room itself was immaculate, and while the furnishings are simple they’re intentional. The balcony has a view of the river and rail trail, and my husband and I enjoyed evening tea up there every night.
The amenities are all superb. The bath products are from DS & Durga and nicer than the expensive stuff I brought. The heated bathroom floor is an amazing touch. I loved that the coffee and tea bar is open all day and well into the evening, and the lobby has a great selection of vinyl to take back to your room and listen to on the record player.
My favorite amenity was the spa though. The therapy pool was perfect after a long hike. It’s small and shallow but it’s not really for swimming, it’s for relaxing in the water. The steam room and ice room were new experiences for me. I liked that they were super clean and smelled amazing - breathing in that steam would cure anything that ails you! The sauna was my favorite of the four spa amenities. Outfitted in blonde wood and warm light, I def had to watch my time in there so I wouldn’t cook myself accidentally.
The hotel staff are incredibly kind and accomodating. The hotel is near enough to downtown New Paltz and the bus station so you don’t need a car to get there. 10/10 time!"
