“One of my favourite places to stay! Beautiful countryside. Lovely comfortable, characterful rooms with horse racing theme! Friendly staff, and excellent freshly cooked breakfasts made with locally sourced ingredients. Plenty of parking. We stayed on a Tuesday when the main restaurant is closed, but enjoyed our evening meal at the White Goose Pizza Co. which is only minutes walk away.”

Just a few minor points to note & could be improved - bedroom window could not be opened to let in fresh air & badly needed dusting. Not enough electrical sockets & could have been better positioned close to mirror for make up, hair etc. Other than that, it was a beautiful atmospheric and classy hotel and full of character. ”

"If I visit Harrogate again, I’ll definitely stay here once more. All the staff are polite and kind. I highly recommend including breakfast in your booking — the staff at the breakfast area were also very friendly, and their warm service along with the delicious food made my mornings delightful. Thanks to this hotel, I’m leaving Harrogate with only good memories."
