"This is a no-frills, basic motel run by a family that lives on site. The owner is very responsive to any requests for extra towels, key problems, etc. It’s right next door to a full-size grocery store. It’s freeway close to all sorts of great Orange County spots. I recommend staying at this reasonably-priced place so you can spend more of your vacation $ on adventures, shopping, and dining out rather than on an expensive posh hotel. Also, the beds were nice and firm."

"Location!+++. On the beach,by the pier, lots of beachfront restaurants. Lots of street activity until about 11 pm. On the long beachfront walkway. Staff very friendly and helpful. The place had unique historic character decor. Comfy bed. The only suggestion is the continental breakfast would have been lovely to have the Dory Bakery pastries next door instead of store bread and bagels."

"I have stayed at this hotel a few times now. It seems to be getting better. the restaurant was a bit better. But, what was really noticeable was the staff here is extremely good! They went out of there way to be of service on several occasions. Also, a hit tip to valet, I had a special car and they new what to do, which lessens my anxiety! Good job Lido. BTW, I also stayed at the BH hotel on this trip as well, so the Lido did well!"
