"The pictures don't do the place justice, the location is great and its minutes walk into Borrowash for shops and pubs etc and only a few minutes drive into Derby. The place is quiet and very clean and well maintained, secure and welcoming. Theres only three rooms so its not overly busy and the parking is very secure with a phone controlled gate on entry and exit to the property. "The property was as described and was clean and comfortable and in a good location. Check in was easy. However this is the only property I have EVER stayed in that didnt provide any tea coffee milk etc. Even budget hotels do this. It made the place seem unwelcoming and meant we hsd nothing to drink on arrival after a long journey. The same applies to the minute amount of hand soap provided. Also, a bin bag would have been useful. Parking was ok but was on the street and at a distance...fine...

Feels like a hole in one
"First impressions of the hotel are very good, with its impressive site and it being part of the well-known country club. For the age of the building, the place is in remarkable condition. The hotel rooms are in great condition and all look surprisingly new. Wonderful views are available from the top floor and walks through the grounds and gardens on the ground floor. Food is excellent and very attentive, professional and courteous staff throughout the hotel. Ultimately, high marks and definitely a recommendation for the future."
