I don't think I spent enough time in Tomakomai to get a good feeling for the area, I mainly stayed here because it was close to Sapporo and the hotel was within walking distance from Tomakomai train station. The hotel was also very close to a Don Quijote, Lawson, and Seicomart. The only room option available at the time was a smoking room, and while it was clean, the room itself seemed old and like it needed some updating. The view from my room was nice though, and there wasn't a lingering odor of smoke. The general area is quite different to what I was expecting, being quite industrial, but it still felt safe and quiet at night. This is also a port town, seeing multiple fairies coming and going daily, which makes this hotel convenient to people who may be coming into the area by ship.

室内は十分に広いのに、荷物置き場やテーブル、いすなどが一つしかない。 あの空いている空間に小さなテーブルと椅子がもう１脚あれば、二人で泊っているので楽に過ごせる。 一人が椅子に座るともう一人はベットに座るしかない。 簡易宿泊所ではないのだからもっと考えて欲しい。 スタッフが感じよかったので残念。

翌朝、タクシーの手配をお願いしましたが、スタッフの皆さんの対応がとても丁寧で、安心して宿泊することができました。 ウェルカム駄菓子には子どもも喜んでいましたし、お風呂がトイレと別れていたので、子ども連れにはありがたかったです。

普通のホテル。 ただ寝て泊まるだけなら全く問題ない。 とは言え周辺には大手のホテルもあったし、そっちの方が駅から近いなど利点はある気がしました。 お風呂のピンクカビとか、棚の破損とかやや気になりましたがこれは人によると思いましたが、私は気になったので。 朝ごはんのビュッフェはホテルのビュッフェという感じはないですが、不満になる程でもない。 とにかく全方面普通のホテルでした！
朝のビュッフェ スープカレーが美味しかった！
景色も可もなく不可もなく！

フェリーを利用するので、苫小牧で宿を探してましたが、部屋も広く、ゆっくりくつろげた。 バイクの駐車場ですが、先着順と言われましたが、屋根ありに停めれました。 機会があれば、また利用したいと思う！
