Generally ok and clean. Great location. Just a few maintenance issues like fly screens on windows needed replacing, no dryer as advertised and hot water not very great.

A wonderful location.

What a wonderful location! Walk across the street and you are on the beach! The apartment was better than I could have imagined; the kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook and clean and the place was clean and comfortable. My only regret is that I had to leave. I will be recommending this little location to everyone I know.

Location is very good. (towards Rockpool/western end of the Strand) Parking great and facilities good. Not great for elderly or anyone who can't handle stairs well. Only toilet is upstairs. Strangest spongy feeling to water taps (use ALL strength to open/close them or they leak). Kitchen barely fitted out. Bottom line - Old and dated but not that bad that I'd not recommend it.

Ok close to strand

The one thing i dident know was it was split level with toilet and bedroom upstairs as my wife is 76 it was a task climbing the stairs more than once at a time but it was good other wise.

Close to the Strand and restaurants

Good price for the location. The beds were not very comfortable, but it was clean and the kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, etc. Pool closes early so we never got to use it.

Noisy neighbors and fire alarms

Cramped layout and unhelpful owner. Fire alarm goes off after shower, make sure to keep the door shut. Bathroom is upstairs which makes it unfriendly for people who are not young and fit. Noise from neighbours who talk loudly on speaker phone incessantly for two days.

right on the strand, nice pool and comfy beds

Stayed for 4 nights and being on the strand was great. Everything needed was nearby and the unit is roomy enough to just hang out and relax in.

Hot, sweaty, muggy

We stayed here for two weeks over the Christmas break the room was a two bedroom apartment which was located at the back of the block. The bedrooms only had air conditioning the main living area only had one ceiling fan and Windows to venterlate the room. The only view of the beach front was on the second floor veranda which you had to lean over to be able to see. They are older type rooms which face south to north which means you are looking at buildings out the front door and back door and receive no costal breeze. If booking online make sure you do your research and read reviews.

Older style apartment close to beach

This apartment was more than adequate for my needs. It is an older style apartment which was very clean. The bed is very comfortable. It was across the road from the beach but there is not much view of the beach because of the way the apartments are placed on the block. It is a little dark inside and the bedroom and bathroom is upstairs so is not suitable for young children.

Great position

The Strand is the place to stay in Townsville. Close to many eateries and rock pool. Short walk to shops and entertainment district.
