“Parking is not available at the hotel, and we did not drive, we were dropped off via taxi at the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable with all the usual amenities. Staff were extremely helpful, food was good and fresh. Nice outdoor seating/eating area, also a cozy sitting area to enjoy a glass of wine. Would definitely book here again.”

The hotel is part of an excellent local restaurant and a well-loved and cozy pub. We found the staff very friendly and helpful from start to finish. “Hoped to stay in old part, not quite the same atmosphere in newer section! Toilet was dirty and mud on floor on arrival. Ordered cheese pasty and got a meat one! Too late to change. Fish and chips were excellent, small portion plenty for each of us. A lovely place to stay, recommend read Daphne DuMauriers book. Great position to explore both coast lines. ”

“Mat and Wolfie made our stay at the Wellington wonderful! Both were helpful with suggestions for hikes and food. We had long conversations with each. The pub had a nice fire,and Wolfie was kind, hospitable, and intriguing. Mat helped us find the most perfect room as we were walkins arriving just before dinner. He told us stories and laughed and enjoyed our interest in the area. It was definitely one of our most favorite stays in the UK. The hotel is charming and a quintessential UK pub hotel....

“We enjoyed a wonderful stay in the 'Nauti' Shepherd's hut. It was so cosy, warm, clean and immaculately presented. The bed was super comfortable and everything we could have needed was provided. A great location, with a peaceful and relaxing countryside setting. Great communication from the hosts. We will definitely be back in the future. Highly recommended for a cornish get away. ”
