The location is fantastic! We arrived by train to Trieste Centrale and could walk easily to hotel, and it’s very close to the downtown area, though Trieste is all walkable. We were initially a little shocked by the exterior conditions of the building but once inside we can tell the rooms are impecable and offer great value for your money. Breakfast was very good also. The recommendations for restaurants with seafood were excellent and staff was very friendly and nice. We would come back with no hesitation.

Our stay at The Nuovo Albergo was great... the room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable, clean crisp sheets, comfortable beds, and a nice bathroom. The staff was fantastic and helpful, (especially Laura, thank you for all), and the complimentary breakfast is fresh and varied. The hotel is perfectly located in the old city for walking and visiting. The street entrance however, does not do it justice as it is quite dark and could use some improvement.
