However the down side was firstly the hotel was very difficult to find and you should make guests aware before booking that the restaurant is not onsite but in a sister hotel quite a walk away involving a steep hill up and then down. "The hotel is beautifully laid out. The rooms are light and airy. The bed was one of the softer ones we found in Turkey, where so many mattresses are hard. There were a few construction/maintenance issues with our room (that are probably the case in other rooms). The thresholds were not made of solid wood and the laminate was peeling. The bathroom shower (while large, with easy push-buttons to control the rain showerhead versus the telephone showerhead) was not caulked properly, so the bathroom floor flooded. While you're there, definitely take advantage of the spa and pools--those were our favorite part. The hotel store is also surprisingly well stocked and reasonably priced. The one breakfast we ordered wasn't spectacular; however, that might have been because we ordered the American-style option, and we weren't in America. :) The dinner service was good and the restaurant staff were super polite and helpful. The air conditioning worked beautifully, all over the hotel!"
