I loved this hotel. It was a real surprise, given some of the things we had seen on the way to it. Part indigenous art gallery, part hotel, withe a philosophy that supports the first nations population. We were welcomed by Scarlet, who toĺd us about the hotel and some popular restaurants. Our room was on the top floor and was attractively decorated with indigenous art, and was comfortably furnished. The en-suite was supplied with some pleasant herbal toiletries. We hadn't expected breakfast, but the hotel provided a light buffet anyway. We took the advice of our host and went to "The Old Spaghetti Factory" for dinner and had a great time. One piece of advice for unsuspecting travellers I wold give is;
When leaving the hotel, don't turn left towards Main St. Turn right, then right down Abbot St. This will take you to Gastown, which is a lot nicer experience.
