High end hotel on the canal. Staff were very helpful in providing restaurant recommendations and information on getting to Murano, water taxis etc.
Location was fantastic near the main piazza.
Best location in Venice hotel has a modern feel with old world charm and luxurious appointments. All that said the staff was to die for so accommodating in every way.
We had a fabulous visit to this traditional hotel right in the heart of Venice, just off St Mark’s Square. Bedrooms have a luxury feel and are typically Venetian in their decor. The dining terrace overlooks the Grand Canal and provides a very special place to enjoy breakfast or dinner. If you want to experience Venice in an ideal location look no further than The Monaco & Grand Canal Hotel.
We loved the terrace. Had drinks and dinner out there a couple of times. It’s fun watching the gondoliers pick people up. Lots of activity on the water!
Breakfast was excellent. Our suite was very nice with a huge bathroom.
Easy walk to everything.
Highly recommend.
Right on the Grand Canal. Breakfast outside is the best location ever. Concierge service is one of the best we’ve ever experienced. One minute walk to San Marco piazza. Large well-appointed room. We took the free transfer to Murano (will be met for an obligatory glass making demonstration and tour of the showroom). The glass factory (Ducale Murano Glass) then suggested their free boat to Burano. Return back to the hotel was on us.
When we are back in Venice, Hotel Monaco is where we will stay!
I always stay at The Bauer Hotel, a canal or two away from here. Since the Bauer is under renovation, we stayed here at the Hotel Monaco. I have to say- when the Bauer re-opens I've got a difficult decision to make! Loved the hotel, breakfast and cocktails on the Grand Canal, etc.
The hotel is beautiful and in a prime location on the banks of the grand canal. The hotel does not provide and drinking water in your room, or tea/coffee making facilities. Very expensive in the bar and restaurant. I made the mistake of buying a bottle of water for 10€. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and of a high quality
Perfect location, beautiful property. The staff were all friendly and extremely helpful. Great breakfast buffet was included, and we enjoyed drinks at the bar. Easy access to Venice landmarks, and a vaporetto stop immediately outside if you are trying to travel further afield (or reach the train!) Our only minor criticism was that the heat was turned up high for our taste, and could not be turned down beyond a certain point. Nonetheless, we slept comfortably with the window open, and enjoyed our stay!
As always, excellent service, value, location. Clean, safe, and quiet. Very professional and friendly staff. Will only stay here in Venice- highly recommended!
