"We hadn't stayed at the Sandpiper Lodge in at least a decade and it seemed to have improved since then. We like the location due to its convenient proximity to Loreto Plaza, Farmer Boy, and (formerly) Jeannine's. I didn't sample the hotel's breakfast, nor the pool, but the coffee was good. My husband went swimming and liked the pool and jacuzzi, especially the latter. Our room (239) was comfortable and convenient to the pool, breakfast room, and office. Our only complaints: there was a construction project happening in the breakfast room and it was noisy and a bit disruptive. Parking spaces are very tight. Staff could be loud in the mornings, especially when slamming the door to the supply room right next to our guest room. As for cleanliness, the bathroom floor seemed questionably clean, but overall our room appeared to be clean. The body wash dispenser in the shower was completely empty, but housekeeping took care of it immediately when we called. Overall, we had a good stay and will consider another stay in the future."

"The inn was clean and had everything one might need. Frig, coffee maker, plenty of outlets for electronics, safe for valuables, nice complimentary continental breakfast and good security (need key to access room hallway which also accessed the room. It was a little noisy (seemed popular with young families), we lucked out with a bad mattress and the parking was full. This was probably due to a full house… no vacancy. That staff was very courteous and helpful. They did advise that if it was too noisy, just call the front desk to address the issue. But it’s hard to ask parents to restrain young children. The inn was centrally located to everything, so that’s a plus. We basically needed a safe clean place to spend a few nights and they were provided. "

"Breakfast was basic but satisfying. Fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels, toast, cereal. It was served in an atrium, outdoor greenhouse which was relaxing. I was 10 minutes from the beach on seaward ave. And i found a farmers market on a wednesday at the pacific view mall. I grabbed fresh fruits, and a tamale to eat on the beach! There was no swimming pool at the hotel, only a small jacuzzi however. "
