Great location, close to the lake, shopping and restaurants. Parking involved a car lift, which was an adventure! Roof bar, gym and hot tub was out of order or under renovation it seemed, although we didn’t have time to really use it anyway. Great hotel to explore Vevey.

Location is great - right across the street from the train station. With windows closed, we didn't hear any street noise - does get a bit stuffy though. Room was clean and beds were comfortable

Such a lovely hotel, we arrived early before check in time and our room was ready for us. Communication was brilliant before arrival. Local transport tickets were perfect for visiting Vevey and Montreux area. Lovely, clean rooms and really close to the train station and bus stops

The hotel is very convenient for travelling without a car, it is near the railway station and local buses. Travel on local buses is free with a card provided by the hotel, this included the tickets for the Furnicular railway, providing great views of Lac Leman. Our room is spacious and clean. Despite being very central the hotel is quiet. Its just a couple of minutes to the lake.

What a wonderful stay!! I was pleasantly surprised. I will say the comments from everyone were correct and helped with me to choose this property. It was my first trip to Vevey so i was very skeptical. I am a Hilton/Marriott member and was scared to death. Now I will NOT stay anywhere else but at Astra. the location is PERFECT especially if you will ride the train. The rooms will be beyond clean!! I am a germ-phob and I couldn't find anything to complain about LOL. Great stay if you are from the U.S. and looking for the comforts of home this is the place. Same as a Hilton. I did upgrade my room to a bigger room but that was just because i knew ahead of time that overseas rooms tend to run on the smaller side. Book it you wont be upset.

The last time I am going there

I am coming to this hotel on a regular basis for 4 years now and for business purpose. This hotel is ideally located in from of the train station, rooms are comfortable and clean. I had to complain several times for the cleanliness of the glasses provided in the room. Some months ago, I went down to the front desk and brought a glass, the manager on duty was almost shocked that I was complaining for this. This time the glasses were not only having drying spots, they were really like "oily*. On my way for dinner I showed this glasses to the front desk, there the clerk told me please show this to my boss she is right now at the restaurant. What I did, and the reaction of this woman was really surprising "I do not allow you to approach me like this"!!!!! No sense of customer satisfaction at all. The I had my dinner with a welcome drink (offered by the hotel), a glass of white wine. I choose my dish, a fish, I ordered then a mother glass of white wine. I have got the fish but no wine at all. I tried to raise the attention of the (old) waiter but he didn't react. When I finished, he finally came back and asked if all was ok, then I answered "I haven't got my white wine", he answered " I forgot it", the I asked for the bill, 3 minutes later he came back with it. I could read 2 glasses of white wine... I asked him Why this???? his answer was "I brought them to you"!!!! I had to claim loudly to get reason. This is totally not acceptable for such an hotel!!!! see picture.

2 days of fun & relaxation in a beautiful place

Very well located for the train station & buses into Montreux . The Riviera tourist travel card given at reception was a bonus to enable us to travel around for free up until the early hours . The hotel itself is nice, clean & comfortable. The roof top bar wasn’t open but we made use of the spa facilities instead . No kettle in the room though which would’ve been appreciated but there’s a Starbucks opposite so that solved that . Veyvey itself has a good vibe with a variety of shops & places to eat . The lake is a short walk from the hotel which has breathtaking views & a buzzy ambience during market day with people generally enjoying themselves . We particularly found the improvised beach with deck chairs charming& the little sandwich bar with its pier seating adorable . A lovely place to visit for sure.

Conveniently located right outside the train station. Very spacious room, with two sinks in the bathroom good for morning time when the family can brush teeth together if in a hurry. Will be perfect if adding a door for the shower and toilet.
